Redbirds raised the point of having an expanded MiLB initial draft. I think this is a worthwhile topic to take a vote on. I had initially selected 5 rounds as the initial draft because it would give teams a nice base of prospects to start, wouldn't significantly dilute the pool of available prospects, and would in turn allow for a larger pool of in-season free agents to sign (after a Prospect exceeds the rookie thresholds 130AB/50IP they are eligible for Free Agency).
I really do not want to go with a full 15 round draft initially, but am open to expanding the draft to 7, 8, or 10 rounds depending on what the majority likes.
