Salary Cap
-The Salary Cap is set to $135 million during the season.
-During the Off-Season, there will be a cap of $150M. This is to allow greater flexibility during the offseason to make moves. Going over the $150M cap in the Off-Season is not allowed.
-During the season, you are allowed to go over the cap (if you are bidding on a Free Agent or make a trade), but you will have 48 hours (after winning a Free Agent or after the trade is approved) to get under the cap.
-If you fail to get under the cap within the 48 hours, then your Free Agent winning will be revoked and that Free Agent will go to the next highest bidder or back into Free Agency if you were the only bidder.
-If you fail to get under the cap within the 48 hours, then your trade will remain approved, but you will be penalized for amount over the cap on a ratio of 2M for every 1M you are over for the remainder of the season.
Example: After a trade and after the 48 hours, you are still $3M over the cap. You be penalized $6M ($3 times 2). That $6M will go against you cap for the appropriate amount of time. However, you still will need to get under the cap, otherwise, that $6M will double every 7 days.
